- Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, who makes a decision to find the remaining Horcruxes, not returning for his seventh year at Hogwarts.
- Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, one of Harry's two best friends.
- Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, one of Harry's two best friends.
- Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid, the Hogwarts gamekeeper and Care of Magical Creatures teacher, Harry's first friend from the magical world.
- David Thewlis as Remus Lupin, former Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. Lupin is a werewolf and a member of the Order of the Phoenix.
- Matthew Lewis as Neville Longbottom, a slightly nerdy friend of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Luna.
- Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood, one of Harry's friends and member of Dumbledore's Army
- Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange, one of Voldemort's principal Death Eaters, older sister of Narcissa Malfoy, aunt to Draco, and cousin of Sirius Black, whom she murdered in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
- Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy. Isaacs considered not returning for the film, before the book was released, as he was worried Malfoy would have very little screentime due to the character's imprisonment in the previous story.
- Helen McCrory as Narcissa Malfoy, Draco's mother and younger sister of Bellatrix.
- Timothy Spall as Peter Pettigrew, former member of Harry's father James's group of friends, he betrayed Harry's parents to Voldemort. Now one of Voldemort's principal Death Eaters.

Eclipse Final Trailer

We've got our hands on the final movie trailer of Eclipse that was shown during the latest Oprah show:

This new cut of the trailer of Eclipse put the emphasis on action rather than emotions... It does look good, but hey, they should rather focus on Bella and Edward! Anyway, the fight between wolves and vampires looks gorgeous!

Twilight Eclipse - Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) talk about their future together.
Emotions in the Twilight Saga are so strong! And look so real that it almost eclipses the fact that it's just a fiction. But maybe we have to thank Robert Pattinson and Bella's performances for this: they're definitely awesome actors, perfect choice to interpret the roles of Edward and Bella.

Summit Entertainment has released the first Eclipse trailer, well for now we only have a 10-second sneak peek of the full-length official Twilight Eclipse trailer that's gonna be released tomorrow and that will be shown in front of Robert Pattinson's Remember me:


TWILIGHT ECLIPSE TRAILER

Only 10 second of twilight Eclipse, but I'm so excited, I won't be able to sleep tonight: I'll have to wait for the real movie trailer of Eclipse tomorrow! I'm so impatient to see Edward (Robert Pattinson), Bella (Kristen Stewart), and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) reunited again for a new opus of the twilight Saga!

ECLIPSE SNEAK PEEK

This Ultimate Fan Edition with collectible Lenticular Packaging includes a 7-minute sneak peek of 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' which begins with an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the production of the newest film in the franchise. New interviews with stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, as well as with series-creator Stephenie Meyer are integrated with revealing, on-the-set footage of some of the key scenes and sets from the upcoming movie. This first-look at 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' then concludes with the world premiere of an actual scene from the film between Bella and Edward that will surely have "Twilight" fans swooning.

The DVD will be available at Walmart starting March 20, 2010. But I guess the sneak preview of Eclipse will find its way online soon after if not before.

Twilight Eclipse Trailer

Twilight New Moon was of course a huge success. Now it's time to think about Twilight 3, aka Twilight Eclipse! The third movie of the Twilight Saga will hit theaters on June 30, 2010. And Twilight fans are waiting with impatience for the trailer of Twilight Eclipse.

Twilight Eclipse Plot, Synopsis:
"Lovestruck teenager Bella must choose between her vampire boyfriend Edward and werewolf Jacob."

The official Twilight Eclipse trailer isn't available yet, but here's a preview with interviews of the actors (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the others):


TWILIGHT 3 ECLIPSE

Since the film comes to theater en of June, I guess the movie trailer of Twilight Eclipse will be released end of March 2010, or early April 2010. This Twilight Eclipse trailer will allow us to check if Director David Slade did respect the story of Stephenie Meyer's book.

Twilight Eclipse Movie

Summit Entertainment has unveiled the official logo of the movie Twilight Eclipse:

Don't like the colors of this logo of Eclipse, but I still like the concept, with the letter P as a metaphor of the Eclipse.

The film is set to star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon, Billy Burke, Chaske Spencer, Edi Gathegi, Kirsten Prout and is directed by David Slade.

The movie Twilight 3, aka Twilight Eclipse, will hit theaters on June 30, 2010.

Twilight 3 Eclipse Clip

We got our hand on first spy clip of the opening scene of Twilight 3, aka Eclipse! The clip features Actor Xavier Samuel as Riley in human form who is being terrorized down an alley in Seattle pursued by a sinister shadow which turns out to be Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard): he cannot outrun her, she attacks him, and as we may see in this clip of Eclipse he writhes in pain from being bitten:

It's getting more difficult for Summit entertainment to keep things under wrap... Having a sneak peek at Twilight 3 Eclipse (even the behind the scenes) so early is both sweet and slightly disturbing!

Eclipse Movie Directed by David Slade

Summit Entertainment is one more time changing director for Eclipse, the third Twilight movie. Indeed, Summit announced today that David Slade has been hired to direct the Twilight Saga Eclipse, aka Twilight 3. So Chris Weitz who is working on New Moon won't helm Eclipse (officially it's because of a conflicting agenda, he would be too busy working on New Moon...)


Filmmaker David Slade once brought us '30 Days of Night' so he is no newbie when it's about Vampire movies. Here he is:

For sure he knows to make vampire movies, just check this trailer of 30 Days of Night:

But I have some doubt about his ability to properly adapt Eclipse... I mean sure, he will make a great Vampire movie, but the Twilight Saga is also about love...

Below a few words from Stehenie Meyer and Summit Entertaiment about David Slade directing the movie Eclipse:

Let's hope that Director Slade will respect Stephenie Meyer's novel, and that the movie Eclipse will be more than a simple vampire movie: what David Slade has to bring us is definitely a ROMANTIC vampire movie!

Eclipse Movie

Summit Entertainment is already planning the production of the third movie of the Twilight saga. The movie Eclipse, aka Twilight 3, is tentatively scheduled for June 30, 2010. No wonder that Summit wants to fast-track the movie Eclipse: so many fans are waiting for their Twilight fix! Also, by locking in an early deal on this Eclipse movie, Summit Entertainment is hedging against Stephenie Meyer asking for more money later.

Plot - Synopsis:

"As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death."

The official title of Twilight 3 should be in line with New Moon's, so we may fairly bet that it will be titled The Twilight Saga Eclipse.

It is clear that Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner will reprise their roles in Eclipse, respectively as Bella the moody young lady, Edward Cullen the Vampire, and Jacob Black the newly assumed Werewolf.

But Director Chris Weitz is unlikely to helm the third Twilight movie because of a conflicting agenda: Weitz will still be working on the post-production of the movie New Moon when filming of Eclipse will begin.

Let's hope that if there is again (!) a new director, that he will respect the legacy of the first two movies and that he stay faithful to Stephenie Meyer's book! But I don't worry too much about that: Twilight fans are stakeholders with a real influence and Stephenie Meyer will act as the ultimate guardian of the Twilight saga.

I suppose that as usual they will to make a trade off though: a movie adaptation can't go in the details as much as a novel does. So apart from the main plot, what detail of the novel do you think should absolutely be part of the movie Eclipse?
